Top NBA Draft Lottery Picks

Below we’ll review our experts’ choices for who is going to be in the top 10 for NBA Draft picks.

Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated draft pick since LeBron James. The 18-year-old Power Forward from Duke is almost certain to be the #1 draft pick. He is known for his excellent mobility and is an excellent teammate both on and off the court.

The New Orleans Pelicans recently landed the #1 pick in the NBA Draft Lottery so it is highly likely that Williamson will be taking his enormous talents to New Orleans for the start of the 2019-2020 season.

Ja Morant

Ja Morant is an extremely quick and athletic point guard who has been turning heads at Murray State in his two seasons at the program there. Though he is only a rising junior, he has made himself eligible for the draft, and it will be fascinating to see if he is able to up his game to compete with the very best that the NBA has to offer.

RJ Barrett

RJ Barrett is another student-athlete from one of the best programs in college basketball at Duke University. His game is still a little underdeveloped in parts, but he has the talent and athleticism to take the league by storm if given the time to grow and learn properly.

Darius Garland

Hailing from another top college program at Vanderbilt, point guard Darius Garland is fantastic both in attack and defense. His 3-point shooting is terrific for someone his age, and he also will be a massive player on defense for whatever team picks him up in the 2019 draft.

De’Andre Hunter

De’Andre Hunter is coming off of a terrific championship-winning season with the University of Virginia. Widely considered to be the best defensive player in the NCAA, Hunter also boasts an impressive shooting percentage for a defensively minded player. It will be exciting to watch power forward Hunter develop in his first season in professional ball.

Jarrett Culver

Jarrett Culver is a shooting guard from Texas Tech. He’s one of the rawest talents on the list, but also one of the athletes with the most potential. The inconsistencies in his game will most likely stop him from being a higher draft pick.

However, those teams looking to take a risk on a player with immense talent and willing to be patient with him and watch him grow will no doubt have a future superstar on their hands.

Cam Reddish

The last of the 3 players from Duke’s roster to be a likely top ten tick for the NBA draft is Cam Reddish. He is a small forward, and despite being a little bit further down the list than his other Duke teammates, Reddish is still an extremely talented player, who some scouts think will go on to have the best career of any of the draft picks this season.

Sekou Doumbouya

Sekou Doumbouya is one of the biggest and most fearsome defenders in the NCAA. Originally hailing from Guinea, power forward Doumbouya has been lauded for his ability to read the game and think a step ahead of the attackers he is defending against.

Jaxson Hayes

Jaxon Hayes is a little bit indisciplined as a player (he gives away a large number of fouls) but the center from the University of Texas is an excellent attacker who will likely score a lot of points for whatever team he ends up playing for.

He still has a little bit of growing to do and physicality to gain to be able to handle the NBA, but all the talent is there for him to develop into a real star.

Coby White

North Carolina shooting guard Coby White is an exciting shooting guard who is a joy to watch on the court. He is incredibly athletic and explosive and improved tremendously over the course of the last NCAA season.

He still has some learning to do on the mental side of the game but is talented enough that if he lands in the right program that can nurture his talent he will no doubt grow into being an incredibly solid player in the NBA.

Try NBA Draft Betting

There are a number of different ways to bet on the NBA Draft. For example, you can bet on who the first draft will be. However, because Zion Willamson is such a standout player, the odds on this season’s first draft pick are not likely to be great. Thus, it’s a good idea to try other lines in your NBA Draft betting.

Zion Williamson to New Orleans?

May 14th’s NBA Draft saw the #1 Draft Pick go to the New Orleans Pelicans. As Zion Williamson is likely to be the top overall pick, the question on everyone’s lips at present is will Williamson head to New Orleans as expected?

Which teams will keep or trade their first round pick?

Another popular thing for gamblers to bet on is whether or not particular teams will keep or trade their first-round picks. A good way to look into this and make an educated bet is to look at teams squads and form for the previous season to see who may need to add what kind of players to their squad by acquiring talented players from the draft.

2019 NBA Draft Betting Odds

For the 2019-2020 NBA season, the league has added a slight change to the existing NBA lottery system. Basically, instead of the usual three existing draft picks, there will now be a fourth draft pick added that in theory should even out the odds and make it easier for teams with high odds to land the top pick.

The New Orleans Pelicans landed the #1 2019 NBA draft pick and are likely to use that pick to draft 18-year-old Zion Williamson.
